Ballot

In the event of too many player submissions, a ballot will need to take place. The maximum number of players in the game is 16, if there are no crew, but increases to 20 with crew, as shown below. Players who anticipate being able to attend all 3 sessions will be prioritised in the player ballot, although you are still welcome to submit a character if you can only attend 2 of them.

There may need to be a limit placed on crew, depending on the online/in-person ratio of submissions and crew preferences about NPCs, but the GM will try to accommodate all in-person crew at a minimum. In the event of oversubscription of crew, a random ballot will be conducted, prioritising in-person crew. The character creation form will allow people to choose not to be entered into a ballot, to ballot with no preference between playing and crewing, and to apply as a player but switch to crew if a ballot is needed.
