======Ballot======

In the event of too many player submissions, a ballot will need to take place. The maximum number of players in the game is 16, if there are no [[crewing|crew]], but increases to 20 with crew, as shown below. Players who anticipate being able to attend all 3 sessions will be prioritised in the player ballot, although you are still welcome to submit a character if you can only attend 2 of them.

There may need to be a limit placed on crew, depending on the online/in-person ratio of submissions and crew preferences about NPCs, but the GM will try to accommodate all in-person crew at a minimum. In the event of oversubscription of crew, a random ballot will be conducted, prioritising in-person crew. The character creation form will allow people to choose not to be entered into a ballot, to ballot with no preference between playing and crewing, and to apply as a player but switch to crew if a ballot is needed.
